my friend & loyal Loup Charmant client, Naoko emailed me from Japan after I shipped her an Indigo Scallop dress. I loved what she told me, & I had no idea! So i thought I'd just share with you ::

really love the sentiment of this wartime poster. & I think it's wisdom we could all use now. using thing FULLY. & it shapes the way we buy to focus on true quality & purposefullness. waste bothers me. if i get rid of something i always try to sell or give away, & it's why we recycle... what if we could really get back to beautiful patching on our linens & jeans. they look amazing with an airy cotton top.

i want to be like that when i leave this earth... fully used up.
